The gap

A cancelled 3 PM is a service that can never be sold again.

Service capacity is the most perishable inventory there is. A stylist's Wednesday afternoon, an esthetician's late cancellation, a barber's quiet hour before close — once the clock passes, that revenue is simply gone.

Today the fix is manual: a story on social, a round of texts to regulars, a discount nobody sees in time. Meanwhile there are guests ten minutes away who would happily take that exact slot — they just have no way to know it exists.

KLYMD closes that loop in real time. Providers post what's unsold; guests claim it before it expires. Both sides win on the same booking.

How it works

One marketplace, two sides, sixty seconds each.

For providers

Salons, barbers, spas and studios — turn dead hours into booked hours.

  1. 01

    Release the gap

A 3:00 PM cancellation? Tap once, set your discount, and the slot goes live to nearby guests in seconds — no calendar surgery, no reposting to social.

  2. 02

    You price it

Every slot is yours to price, from full rate to whatever fills the chair. Peak hours stay untouched — KLYMD only ever sees what you choose to release.

  3. 03

    Get paid on what fills

No subscription, no listing fee. KLYMD's marketplace fee applies only on completed bookings — so you are never billed for capacity that stayed empty.

For guests

Everything you see is open now, nearby, and priced by the studio itself.

  1. 01

    Set your radius

Tell KLYMD your neighbourhood, the services you care about and the hours you're free. Everything else stays quiet.

  2. 02

    See only what's real

No directory to trawl. Every card is a genuine open slot inside the next 72 hours at a genuine studio, with the real price attached.

  3. 03

    Claim in two taps

Your slot is held for 10 minutes at checkout, confirmed instantly, and there's never a membership or credit pack to buy first.

Why KLYMD

Built for the inventory everyone else ignores.

The incumbents are excellent at planned demand. None of them is built to move a slot that opens up three hours from now.

Fresha

Salon software: the booking system a studio runs day to day.

The gap: Brilliant at managing a calendar you already filled — but a cancellation at 2 PM is still a hole the owner scrambles to fill by hand.

OpenTable

Restaurant reservations, planned mostly in advance.

The gap: Optimised for the table you book on Tuesday for Friday. The distressed inventory — the table or chair open in three hours — is where the value leaks.

ClassPass

A subscription credit pass for fitness and wellness.

The gap: Guests pay monthly before they book anything, and providers hand over margin on full-price demand as well as spare capacity.

72-hour horizon, nothing else

KLYMD indexes only genuinely unsold inventory inside the next three days. Every card you see is claimable right now, which is why it converts.

One vertical, one metro, done properly

We're building the deepest last-minute beauty and salon supply in Austin before adding a second category. Density beats breadth in a marketplace.

Aligned economics

A marketplace fee on completed bookings only. We earn when a chair that would have sat empty earns for you instead.

Discovery that costs nothing

A released slot puts your studio in front of a new guest in the neighbourhood — at a price you set — with no ad spend and no monthly software bill.

Pricing

Free to browse. Free to drop.

KLYMD only earns when KLYMD creates value — a marketplace fee applies on completed bookings, and nothing else.

For consumers

Free

Consumers can browse KLYMD for free.

For providers

No monthly fee

Providers can join and Drop an Opening without paying a monthly software fee.

The marketplace fee. KLYMD earns its marketplace fee only when KLYMD generates a completed transaction.

How KLYMD pricing works

  1. Drop an opening

A provider posts a real open slot. Free — no listing fee, no monthly software bill.

  2. Someone klyms it

A consumer browsing for free finds that opening and claims it.

  3. Completed booking

The booking goes ahead and the provider gets paid for capacity that was sitting empty.

  4. KLYMD fee

Only then does KLYMD's marketplace fee apply — on the transaction KLYMD generated.

The marketplace fee rate is set by KLYMD and will be published here once it is confirmed.

From the pilot

Both sides of the chair.

We used to burn twenty minutes texting the regulars every time somebody cancelled. Now the gap is posted before I've swept the floor, and it fills itself.
Mara DelgadoOwner · Halcyon Hair Studio
I book a blowout on the way home about twice a month. It's the only app where everything I'm looking at is actually free tonight.
Priya RamanGuest · East Austin
Wednesday afternoons were dead. Releasing them at 30% off turned four empty hours a week into repeat clients who now book at full price.

What's next

Beauty first. Then the rest of the last minute.

We deliberately killed the six-category launch. KLYMD owns last-minute beauty and salon inventory in Austin first — enough density that a guest always finds something worth claiming. Dining and fitness follow, metro by metro.

Coming next

Those tools manage a calendar you already filled. KLYMD only exists for the gaps: a provider taps one button to release a slot in the next 72 hours, and it goes live instantly to nearby guests. No monthly software fee, no subscription for guests, no long-tail directory to scroll — just what is genuinely bookable right now.
